Sri Lanka National Men’s Cricket Team represents the country in international cricket. Srilanka is a Full Member of the International Cricket Council including Test, ODI (One-Day International), and T20I status. In the time of 1926–27, this team played the first International Cricket. After this team was awarded Test status in 1981, so Sri Lanka became the 8th Test cricket playing nation. Srilankan cricket team is directed by the Sri Lanka Cricket board known as the Board of Cricket for Sri Lanka (BCCSL). It is one of the powerful team among the International cricket teams. Cricket was established by the British approximately in 1932s as per the report of The Colombo Journal. In 1996 Sri Lanka won the Cricket World Cup and won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2002 and also won ICC T20 World Cup in 2014.
Sri Lanka national men’s cricket team presently keeps various world records, including the world record for the highest team total in Test cricket. Dimuth Karunarathne is the present Test Captain and Dasun Shanaka is the present captain for both ODI and T20 Internationals. Mickey Arthur is the Coach of this Cricket team.
